Sometimes iOS doesn't immediately register that an app supports widgets. Try checking again in a few hours.
Alternatively, you can try deleting and reinstalling the app to make the app appear properly.
Double check the app is enabled in your Mac's Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Location Services.
If it is enabled, try disabling and re-enabling the master level Location Services switch at the top of the page. That should force macOS to re-register the app and request Location permissions.
